I look around the internets and I see… disappointment, forlorn confusion, even moral outrage.
It’s a mirror of how I feel.
See, I have watched the anishape for close to 3 years now. Early on, it seemed poised to deliver on the promise of a well-written, cleverly meta commentary on the nature of aniblogging. It turned the idea of fetishizing cartoons on its head — at least, that’s what I thought.
But with these latest developments, I am seriously considering ragequitting the animehedron. Its motives are so obvious, it always resorts to the same arguments, and the writers are so annoying! The first 3 years really did show a lot of promise though, so I’m going to give it another week and see. There’s still hope. But I really thought I was going to get something more than just cartoons!
